FAQs

When should I seek out Physical Therapy services for my child?

As a general guideline, it can be helpful to seek professional care by a physical therapist if your child isn’t achieving the following milestones:

  • Unable to hold up head by 4 months

  • Not rolling by 7 months

  • Not sitting independently by 10 months

  • Not crawling by 11 months

  • Not walking by 16 months

  • Or if your baby tilts their head to the side and/or favors turning their head to one side, they may have torticollis

  • Or if you have any general concerns about their gross motor development, schedule a virtual consult or evaluation with me to assess if there is a need for physical therapy

If my baby has Torticollis, when should I start Physical Therapy?

It is important to start physical therapy services as soon as possible if your baby has torticollis. Having a flat head (plagiocephaly) and torticollis frequently occur together. With earlier intervention, babies are more likely to have quicker and more complete resolution of torticollis.

I’m not sure if my child needs Physical Therapy. What should I do?

Schedule a virtual physical therapy consultation today to assess your child's needs and determine if pediatric physical therapy would be beneficial.

Do you accept insurance?

I do not accept insurance for my services. Payment is due at the time of service, and I can provide a Superbill that you can submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement.

What is Infant Massage?
